The past 11 days the weather for us has been insane! Clearly not close to Wisconsin or much of the country, but for Florida it’s been wild. We’ve had mornings the kids wore their coats to Disney and by noon we’re all in shorts and t-shirts hot in the sun. Overall it’s been beautiful and we can’t complain. Praying for our family and everyone dealing with this insane winter. We went Disney HARD the last few weeks (even more so than we thought we would) but the memories and time together is so precious. I will always remember their eyes lighting up watching the fireworks and parades and the smiles when they meet their favorite characters. Mark and I always say traveling and being in new environments where we challenge our everyday life, brings our family together and almost creates a reset for us!
Our FAVORITE- Moana journey of water at
Epcot
Oh Disney- it’s the only place where you can get 25,000 steps a DAY and still gain weight haha! Here’s some of our favorite and new interesting things we’ve tried.
“I lava you” Dole whip float with pop rocks
French pavilion in Epcot!
Festival of the Arts- Italy!
“Wookie Cookie”
Our favorite meal-
Avatars take on lunch.
These are always our favorite treats from the
France pavilion. They take fresh, baked in house brioche buns and slice them in half. Inside they add a caramel or chocolate Mickey head and a scoop of ice cream!
Waiting for the parade :)
My favorite! Star Wars Rhonto Wrap!
The second hotel we checked in to was MASSIVE. It was made up of 8 buildings- the property itself had 11 pools, two lazy rivers and a few onsite restaurants. One night when it was in the mid 60s in the evening the kids were brave enough to swim and we got to watch the Bears lose on a giant tv by the pool! This hotel we found the magic feeding the Koi fish and taking morning walks around the property finding wildlife and going slow.
Emma’s favorite; “fluffy ducky heads”
We did a LOT more schooling this week, not only hands on but the traditional book and computer curriculums. One day we took a break in Magic Kingdom and homeschooled next to the castle. That moment was something we DREAMED about since the kids were babies. It was absolutely unreal to see it unfold in real life while holding Starbucks, HA!
Here we were enjoying a slow morning and getting lots of learning time in. Mark isn’t pictured who was working at the table behind us. I’m so proud of him working so hard and being disciplined enough to get the amount of work done that he has!
We have a weekend left before we leave for our Disney Cruise on Monday so I’ll try to update before then!
Aloha! :)
